I'm an amateur photographer living on Lake Erie.
My goal, first and foremost, is to share the beauty I am lucky enough to see every day. I am on a mission to change the way people think of Northeast Ohio, Cleveland and especially Lorain.
I'm embarking on this little business venture because I've heard from a number of people that they can't seem to find Lorain stuff, lighthouse stuff, etc. I'm hoping to make a little bit of money to subsidize my photography obsession and let me keep on doing it.
View my thousands of photos on Flickr.
I've set up a Web site at Zazzle where you can buy a variety of items with my photos on them: posters, mousepads, keychains, magnets, etc. In the near future I will have items you can buy directly from me. I'll also take any special requests, so e-mail and let me know what you'd like to see added to my store.
If you're on MySpace check out my profile there and send me a friend request.
Considering the bad rap the lake effect gets, you might be wondering why I named my business after it. To me the lake effect is more than just the reason we were all stuck at home this Valentines Day.
The lake effect is running around in flip-flops at Lakeview Park beach just because you can on that first abnormally warm March day.
The lake effect is watching a beautiful sunset from the end of the mile-long pier and realizing there's not a person in the world you'd trade places with at that exact moment.
The lake effect is why you can duck out of work a little early on summer Friday afternoons (or show up late and hung over on Monday mornings) and your boss doesn't even care. Heck, we'll work our 40 hours the other nine months of the year!
